FOUR Mysteruns of Abergele travelled to Dolgarrog on Sunday for the sixth running of the five mile Pipe Dream mountain race.
The route follows the pipe up the mountain and climbs to 1700ft. This year organisers decided to change the route for the first part.
The runners were asked to run in between the pipes up some 500 steep steps before returning to the normal route.
With the conditions perfect for the 51 runners on this very hilly course, Joe Webb led the Mysteruns home in an excellent 45.32 for 24th overall.
Not too far behind was John Humphries in 48.12 for 24th overall, with Mike Powell hot on John’s heels to finish in 49.48 for 39th overall.
The only lady running was Melanie Williams, who finished second over 45 in another impressive time of 58.55.
