ALTHOUGH no Abergele Harriers were in competitive action this week, there was still some very good news for the club at the weekend.

The Borders League handicap results for the recent round of the league held in Abergele were released with excellent results for the Harriers.

Not only did the Harriers have four members in the top ten on the day, Mark Mayers, Keith Elliott, John Essary and Jeni Richards, but the result puts Jeni in the overall leaders position at the half way point in the competition.

The club will be hoping for a good turn out for the next round of the league on March 14, the same day that Club Secretary Sean McCormack will be tackling his first ulta-distance race, the Barry 40.
