Rhyl 4, Airbus UK 0
WELSH Premier League leaders Rhyl sealed their early qualification from the Loosemores League Cup last night (Tuesday).
Mark Connolly opened the scoring after 22 minutes, before an excellent finish from Tyrone Kirk doubled the advantage and Phil Doran made it 3-0 shortly before the break.
The scoring was completed shortly after the hour mark, as Connolly latched on to Paul Smith's through ball to score past Phil Palethorpe.
Rhyl struck the woodwork four times during the victory, which ensures they top the group. But neighbours Prestatyn Town will have a chance of joining them in the next round as one of the best runners-up if they can beat the Lilywhites at Bastion Gardens on Tuesday, October 6.
Prestatyn enjoyed friendly action against the Isle of Man, in a match that ended in a 2-0 victory to the Manx visitors.
