CAERNARFON Town have bolstered their squad ahead of the defence of their Huws Gray Alliance crown with the signing of goalkeeper Mike Jones.

The 23-year-old former Prestatyn Town stopper arrives at The Oval having spent the summer training with Welsh Premier League side Cefn Druids and comes following the release of Carl Jones.
Manager Iwan Williams, said: “He's your typical sweeper keeper with fantastic technique.

"He's passionate, a good communicator, and commands the box very well.
“He's the type of character the Cofi Army will take to. Mike comes in with a wealth of Cymru Alliance experience and under the guidance of Mike Innes, I'm sure he can become a success at Caernarfon for years to come."
The new signing, who was part of the Denbigh Town side that achieved a memorable double, added: “Signing for Caernarfon is a huge opportunity for me.

"Iwan is an outstanding young manager and am looking forward to joining some of the best players in the Welsh system.
“Caernarfon is a great football club with the best supporters in all of the Welsh pyramid leagues. I am extremely excited to represent them and this fantastic football club.”
The Canaries were defeated 5-0 by WPL champions The New Saints last Friday, and they entertain Llanrwst United on Wednesday before taking on big spending Gap Connah’s Quay at The Oval on Saturday (2.30pm).
