LLANDUDNO Albion continued their impressive recent run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Barmouth and Dyffryn United.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title hopefuls have recovered from an indifferent start to the campaign and now find themselves in fourth position in the standings and six points behind early pacesetters Llangefni Town.

A tight game was settled after the interval when summer signing from Llandudno Junction Lee Ellis finished well, and Darren Jones’ men saw out the remainder of the game in the face of some significant pressure to secure their fifth victory in nine league contests.

There was no such luck for Llandudno Junction, who remain rooted to the basement after an 8-0 loss at Llengefni Town.

A brace apiece from Iwan Jones and Matthew Jones did the majority of the damage, with Kevin Lloyd, Jack Williams, Anthony Sinclair and Alan Mark Owen also on target for the hosts.

Division Two title contenders Glan Conwy turned in their best attacking display of the season to seal an eye-catching 10-2 home rout over Amlwch Town.

New signing Jordan Phillips was the star of the show, with the talented forward netting an astonishing six times throughout the one-sided affair.

Teenage prospect Ben Lundstram hit two for Penmaenmawr Phoenix in their 4-1 home win over Meliden, and Mochdre Sports were denied three points at the death in their 3-3 draw at Kinmel Bay.
