RHYL and District had nothing to show from their long trip to Llanidloes in a bad tempered 34-0 loss.

The visitors failed to take advantage when Llan were reduced to 13 players for a ten-minute spell, and four penalties from the hosts gave them a comfortable 12-point cushion at the interval.

After the break saw the home side awarded a awarded a penalty try after several fouls in a scrum close to the line, and a further penalty conversion brought the score to 22-0 midway through the half.

Rhyl were reduced to 13 players when winger Reeve Wright was sent off for verbal abuse of the referee, and this resulted in the rampant hosts running in a pair of scores late on to round off a miserable afternoon at the office for Seb Vidal’s side.

The youth team travelled to Colwyn Bay and were beaten 62-12. The young side have taken a battering over the last three weeks and with no game next Saturday they will be able to recover from their many injuries.
