The early pacesetters made light work of their opponents once again thanks to another dazzling attacking display, with former Kinmel Bay forward Liam Rowland Jones continuing his exceptional run of recent form with a four-goal salvo.

James Burke also caught the eye and was rewarded for his fine individual display with a hat-trick, with Grey Montgomery, Gary Fazackerly, Frankie Henrigan, Chris MacQuillan and Callum Darroch also finding the net during the rout.

Athletic sit five points ahead of Y Glannau, who kept pace with the leaders thanks to a 3-2 home triumph over Rhos United.

A brace from Dan Gallacher on 23 and 27 minutes put the hosts in the ascendancy, with Josh MacGillivary adding a third after the interval with 51 on the clock.

The away side mounted a fightback in the closing stages through goals from Nathan Bontydd and Shaun Middlehurst, but Glan held on for another three points in their push for promotion.

Denbigh Development remain bottom of the standings as goals from Shaun Davies, Jake Reynold and Henry Taylor condemned them to a 3-1 loss at Llysfaen.
