LLANGEFNI Town have finalised their plans ahead of their expected Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title challenge.

Chris Roberts’ side are fancied to go one better this time around after finishing second behind champions Conwy Borough last term, and they have made a number of key additions such as striker Alan Mark Owen with a view to securing an elusive promotion.

Town have confirmed a five-day friendly fixture list to ready themselves for the new campaign, which begins on Saturday with a trip to Huws Gray Alliance side Porthmadog.

This will be followed by a trip to Gwynedd League outfit Bontnewydd on Saturday, July 14, before they test their skills against Chris Williams’ improving second tier side Ruthin Town on July 21.

A trip to Saltney Town is also scheduled for July 28, before Roberts’ men conclude their pre-season programme at newly promoted Welsh Alliance Division Two side Holyhead Town on August 4.

Cefni will have a new look kit this year sponsored by The Bull Hotel, and there was further good news for the club last week as Graham Cohen was awarded the Division One Secretary of the Year in recognition of his outstanding work through the season.
