PRESTATYN Town’s new management team took their new arrivals to 16 following another hugely busy week at the club.

Leon Field and Ryan Turner have been extremely busy replenishing the squad that was decimated following their relegation to the Huws Gray Alliance, and the joint-managers are still hoping to bring in four new faces to take their tally to 20 ahead of the start of the campaign.

One notable acquisition is defender Daniel Roberts, who is a Wales U18 international and was part of the academy set-up at Connah’s Quay Nomads during the previous campaign.

The teenager comes with a big reputation and was one of the standout performers in Mark Pike’s defence against the likes of England, Australia, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

He played a vital role in Llandudno Junction’s first team from a very young age, and spent last season in the under-19’s setup at the Nomads.

Field, said: “Getting Dan on board from Nomads is a fantastic move for the club. He already has massive amounts of experience for a lad of his age.

“He’s a player that’s been on our radar for quite a while, so we’re well aware of his quality on and off the ball, and what he will bring to the side this season.”

Also joining the club are Cerrigydrudion duo Ciran Jones and Nidian Jones, and Kinmel Bay midfielder James Hay, while full-back and former Wrexham youth star Diego Alvarado signing on at the Motion Finance Stadium.

The Seasiders began their pre-season training last week in the first session led by Field and Turner, who are hoping to finalise their squad in the coming days as the club looks to consolidate its position in the second tier next term.
