PRESTATYN Town joint-managers Leon Field and Ryan Turner have turned to former club Kinmel Bay for their first signings since taking over.

The Seasiders have begun to reshape their squad with the acquisition of four new arrivals on Tuesday, just 24-hours removed from the management team being announced.

The quartet all make the move to the Motion Finance Stadium from the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division champions, with the striker duo of Ben Cawley and Ben Hoult making a return to their hometown club.

Cawley , said: “The lads coming in are incredibly hard working. I think this team is going to surprise a lot of people.

“It feels great to be representing my home town again. I’ve grown a lot as a player since I was last here, and I’m excited to get out on the pitch and show that.”

Another notable addition to the squad is midfield playmaker Dave Collins and versatile forward Jack Hoult, who has thrived under the current backroom team with both the Bay and Abergele.

“It’s a massive opportunity for me to step up and play for one of the biggest clubs in North Wales,” said Collins.

“All of us want to repay the faith that the managers have shown in us, and bring success and stability to the club. We have a winning mentality and that’s important. We’re here to compete.”

Field was keen to praise the four signings and stated each should “have been playing higher” last term, with more signings expected in the coming days to further boost a squad that has been decimated by the loss of influential and long-standing figures.

He said: “All four should have been playing higher last season and we were lucky to have them at Kinmel Bay, and it shows that they were really enjoying their football which helps us a great deal throughout the season.

“Hopefully they can take on board what I have said to them so far and they can make a successful step up to Huws Gray Alliance football.”
