RHYL have been handed a home tie against rivals Denbigh Town in the first round of the Huws Gray Cup.
The two sides have a storied history which has been further enhanced in recent weeks thanks to the appointment of former Town boss Eddie Maurice-Jones and assistant Richard Williams-Cooke to the management team at the Belle Vue Stadium.
This has also seen former Lilies’ boss Matthew Jones take up the managerial position at Central Park alongside Dewi Llion, and the respective moves have resulted in a number of different playing personnel switching clubs during a dramatic summer of transfer activity so far.
Prestatyn Town will mark their return to the competition with a home tie against Penrhyncoch at the Motion Finance Stadium, while demoted Bangor City welcome a dangerous Gresford Athletic outfit to the VSM Stadium in another eye-catching fixture.
Title hopefuls Airbus Broughton entertain Holywell Town under their new management team of Gareth Sudlow, Dave Sweet and Andy Lewis, with holders Flint Town United beginning their cup defence on home soil against Holyhead Hotspur.
Newly promoted sides Conwy Borough and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant square off at Y Morfa, and fellow newboys Buckley Town face a stern test of their credentials when they visit Porthmadog.
