FOUR more Prestatyn Town stars have officially moved on to pastures new as the club begins the interview process for a new manager.

The Seasiders invited applications until Wednesday and CEO Leigh Williams has narrowed the search down to a small number of candidates, and The Journal understands that interviews are set to take place this weekend.

Following the interview process, a formal announcement is expected soon after as the club looks to bring in fresh faces to boost their depleted squad, which lost Ross Stephens, Jack Higgins, Ben Maher and Tom Kemp.

Talented full-back Kemp and exciting forward Higgins have joined Huws Gray Alliance rivals Flint Town United, where they join up with ex-Rhyl boss Niall McGuinness and former teammate Jack Lewis.

The midfield duo of Maher and Stephens are staying in the JD Welsh Premier League after agreeing terms with newly promoted Caernarfon Town, becoming manager Sean Eardley’s first signings of the summer as he looks to establish the Cofis as a top-flight force.

Town officials confirmed that they have received backing from four new investors since their relegation, and are currently forming a plan to stabilise the club and ensure its long-term future after months of uncertainty.

This resulted in Neil Gibson and Gareth Wilson leaving the managerial post in quick succession, while key figures such as Michael Parker, Noah Edwards and retired skipper Dave Hayes no longer part of the set-up.
