GAERWEN have announced a new management team ahead of the new Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two season.

The club revealed that Peter Jones has taken over the reins after a spell as an Academy coach at JD Welsh Premier League side Llandudno.

He possesses a vast array of experience throughout various levels during his career, and Jones was once regarded as one of the most promising prospects anywhere in the region The new boss has enjoyed successful spells at both Tudno and Conwy Borough, while he also played under former Manchester United left-back Clayton Blackmore at Bangor City.

Jones has moved quickly to secure reinforcements to the backroom staff, with Kenny Jones, Keith Jones and Paul Bryant all agreeing to stay on after discussions with the new appointment.

He said: “Gaerwen had a good season last year and the morale within the club is great.

“I wanted to keep the experience and personalities of the guys as I massively respect their opinions and knowledge. I am looking forward to working with them and hopefully we can push the club forward together.”

The club also announced that pre-season training will commence on June 27 from 7pm, and they are urging both old and new players to attend in order to ready themselves for the new fourth tier campaign.
