LLANRUG United have moved swiftly to replace the prolific Alan Mark Owen with the signing of Kevin Lloyd.

The experience frontman arrives at the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One side after a spell at Caernarfon Town last term, where he helped Sean Eardley’s men clinch the Huws Gray Alliance championship and promotion to the JD Welsh Premier League.

Lloyd first joined United on registration deadline day in March 2012 and managed to net sevent times in ten contests during his first spell at the club.

This was followed by another stint during the 2013/14 campaign after being released by the Cofis, turning in a host of impressive performances to help the club secure the FAW Trophy and take his individual tally to 29 for the season.

Lloyd has scored 62 goals in 102 appearances for United, who exceeded all expectations last season to secure a third-placed finish behind third-tier giants Conwy Borough and Llangefni Town.

He made a strong impression for the Canaries last season but may have found chances limited as Eardley’s men return to the top of the Welsh pyramid.

Newly appointed manager David Noel Williams, said: “I am delighted that Kev is back with us, he is a class striker who loves to attack and score goals, he will again be a great asset to our club.

“Officials, Players and Supporters of Llanrug United are delighted to have Kevin back to the Club.”
