RHYL director of football Eddie Maurice-Jones has made his first signings since taking over at the club.

The Lilywhites announced that defender Danny Sullivan and midfielder Aaron Hassall have agreed terms with the Huws Gray Alliance side, as the new management team begin moves to rebuild the squad in the hope of improving their fortunes next term.

Sullivan arrives from second tier rivals Denbigh Town where he worked with Maurice-Jones and assistant Richard Williams-Cooke, and played a huge part in them achieving the highest league finish in their history last season.

He has also played for Caernarfon Town, Holywell Town, Buckley Town and Flint Town United during an impressive career to date.

Hassall also comes with a glowing reputation and has also worked with the current management duo at the Central Park side before making a move to JD Welsh Premier League side Llandudno last summer.

The playmaker found opportunities limited under Alan Morgan which resulted in a move to Runcorn Town, where he made ten appearances during the second half of the campaign.

He commanded a five-figure sum when he signed for Leicester City from Airbus Broughton in 2014 and has also represented Corby Town and Stamford.

Maurice-Jones, said: “Danny has been a standout performer for me at Denbigh Town last season so it’s great to see him committed so early.

“Danny brings experience, leadership and quality to the squad. His natural ability to read the game and see a define pass is exceptional.

“Having previously worked with Aaron for a short period of time I know he has the potential to be a great success. Aaron’s attributes are fitted to what we are looking to achieve at Rhyl.

“I’m sure his ability and style of play will have all the fans on the edge of their seats.”
