PRESTATYN Town are inviting applications for their vacant managerial position after the resignation of Gareth Wilson.

The Seasiders officially begun the process of looking for a replacement for the departing boss, who stepped down last week after a squad exodus following their relegation to the JD Welsh Premier League.

The new appointment will be tasked with managing and taking training for the first team, in addition to working closely with the Town board to follow the key principles within their vision for the future.

They will also be responsible for liaising with the club’s thriving academy and reserve side, and the ideal candidate must have previous experience of management “preferably in the top three leagues of the Welsh pyramid”.

Any new arrival will also need to keep within the parameters of the financial budget given by the Town hierarchy, while possessing a UEFA A Licence is also desirable.

Other standout features the new manager must possess include “the ability to improve players of differing levels of experience and talent through coaching and managing styles”, a “willingness and evidence of producing youth players into first team players” and to “show leadership skills in order to inspire a group of players to follow ambitions and achieve targets”.

This specific criteria will be assessed during the application process and subsequent interviews, which will be held at the Motion Finance Stadium on the weekend of June 9-10.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, June 6 at 6pm, and anyone wishing to apply is urged to contact club CEO Leigh Williams via email at ptfc_secretary@hotmail.com.
