RHYL Football Club have announced a series of high-profile friendly fixtures ahead of the new Huws Gray Alliance season.

The Lilywhites announced the star-studded pre-season contests as new sporting director Dave Norman and director of football Eddie Maurice-Jones begin their preparations ahead of an expected promotion tilt.

They begin with a clash against Altrincham at the Corbett Sports Stadium on Saturday, July 7, before welcoming SkyBet League One side Fleetwood Town on Tuesday 10.

This will be followed by a home tie against Bury on Wednesday, July 18 which is swiftly followed by a clash against Runcorn Linnets on Saturday 21.

Newly promoted Championship side Rotherham will be the next team to visit on Tuesday, July 24, before the Lilies’ close out their impressive list of friendlies against two-time European Cup winners Nottingham Forest on Saturday 28.

It promises to be an incredibly busy summer of activity for the one-time JD Welsh Premier League champions, with Norman, Maurice-Jones and Richard Williams-Cooke speaking to a number of current squad members regarding their future over the last week.

A large portion of the squad have been told their presence will no longer be required, while the new management team are also recruiting fresh faces into the set-up in the hope of improving the club’s fortunes next term.
