RHYL manager Eddie Maurice-Jones has begun to reshape his squad ahead of their Huws Gray Alliance promotion tilt.

The newly appointed director of football has turned to his old club Denbigh Town for his first moves in the transfer market, and The Journal understands that four players from the Central Park side have moved on to the Lilywhites.

Danny Sullivan is set to significantly strengthen the Liles’ rearguard after agreeing terms, with the talented defender playing a huge part on Town’s history making campaign last term where they achieved their highest ever league finish.

Another arrival at the Corbett Sports Stadium is goalkeeper Jonathan Hill-Dunt, with the former Prestatyn Town star expected to fight it out with Rory Crowther for the number one shirt during the summer.

Matty Worrell is the third players to have followed Maurice-Jones, Richard Williams-Cooke and David Reese out of the door, and rounding off the quartet is the gifted Gareth Partridge.

This is the first move in what is expected to be an immensely busy summer of transfer activity for the Lilies, who will be aiming for a return to the JD Welsh Premier League at the second time of asking following their relegation in 2017.

The HGA is set to be more competitive than ever this season thanks to the introduction of Bangor City, who are expected to be among the front-runners’ for the title thanks to the high-profile arrivals of manager Craig Harrison and Citizens’ legend Les Davies.

An official announcement could be made in the coming days, with further signings set to be revealed in due course.
