PRESTATYN Town have vowed to bounce back after an exodus of star names over the past week.

The Seasiders have been rocked by a series of departures in quick succession, which is a significant blow to manager Gareth Wilson as he looks to mount a promotion challenge in the ultra-competitive Huws Gray Alliance next term.

Long-serving skipper Dave Hayes recently announced his retirement after a trophy-laden spell at The Motion Finance Stadium, while midfield talisman Michael Parker and Noah Edwards are set to link up with former boss Neil Gibson at JD Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay.

Zebb and Zyaac Edwards have joined Llandudno, and goalkeeper Carl Jones is also moving on to pastures new and has penned a deal at Holyhead Hotspur.

The Journal also understands that James Stead, Jack Higgins and Tom Kemp have agreed to join Flint Town United, who have high expectations after a strong second half to the campaign under Niall McGuinness.

Wilson is believed to be in negotiations with a number of new signings as he looks to bolster his depleted squad in what is expected to be a busy few weeks for everyone associated with the club as they prepare for a return to the second tier after a one-season stay in the top flight.

A club statement, said: “It has been a hard few days for everyone at the club but we would just like to let all Prestatyn Town’s loyal followers that we are working hard with the manager to bring players to the club that we feel will help us compete this season in a tough division.”
