PRESTATYN Town are set to lose three key squad members following their relegation from the JD Welsh Premier League.

The Seasiders will reportedly be without the services of the three Edwards brothers for their tilt at the Huws Gray Alliance, with the trio all opting to remain in the top flight next term.

The Journal understands that gifted midfield playmaker Noah Edwards has agreed a move to title hopefuls Connah’s Quay Nomads, where he will link up with former boss Neil Gibson.

Edwards was one of the shining lights in an otherwise disappointing campaign at the Motion Finance Stadium, and his consistent performances earned him an invitation to train with the Wales C squad prior to their international friendly clash with England earlier this year.

He is set to further strengthen an ambitious squad that are looking to mount a serious title challenge to The New Saints of Oswestry Town, and they have already acquired talented defender Danny Holmes from Bangor City.

Town manager Gareth Wilson has also lost the duo of Zebb and Zyacc Edwards, who are set to link up with Iwan Williams at Llandudno.

The pair were used in a rotational role and put in some encouraging performances during their brief stint in the WPL, and they will become the latest to join Williams’ overhaul of the squad at the Giant Hospitality Stadium in his first full season in charge.

Although they have not confirmed the news officially, there is expected to be an announcement in the coming days from all parties involved relating to the transfer activity.
