MOCHDRE Sports continued their impressive end to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two season with a 5-3 win at Llannerchymedd.

A cagey start to proceedings was turned on its head when Richard Jones put the home side in front after 34 minutes, but this was met by an instant response courtesy of the prolific Jordan Phillips on 37.

This spurred the visitors into life and they took the lead for the first time in the contest just before the half time interval when a neat passage of play resulted in Scott Roberts converting an opportunity.

After the interval saw the hosts seize the initiative midway through the half, and they levelled matters on 70 minutes when Gethin Hughes burst clear and finished well, and things got even better immediately following the restart when Jerome Silence regained the advantage for Llan five minutes later.

Sports responded incredibly well to the setback and got back on level terms on 84 minutes thanks to another sensational strike from Phillips, and the deadly marksman was on hand yet again a mere 30 seconds later to cap off another sensational individual display with his hat-trick.

The home side threw caution to the wind in the closing stages as they went in search of an equaliser, which left them vulnerable and Scott Roberts made no mistake when put through on goal to notch his second and secure three points.
