LLANDUDNO Albion continued their exceptional run of Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One results with an emphatic 5-1 win over Mynydd Llandegai.

Paul Cheung’s side have been in blistering form since the turn of the year and now find themselves in fourth spot and 13 points behind leaders Conwy Borough with three games in hand.

The home side got off to a positive start and went ahead on seven minutes when Daniel Evans found the net, but they were pegged back almost instantly when Gerwyn Roberts levelled matters on 13.

This provoked a strong response from the hosts, who got back their lead on 25 minutes when Rocky Jones finished well, and they crucially doubled their advantage after the break courtesy of a Connor Davies effort on 74.

Cheung’s men put the exclamation point on proceedings in the final ten minutes with two penalties from Joel Lloyd on 81 and 90 minutes to keep them in the title picture.

Current pacesetters Conwy Borough bounced back from their midweek draw with a thumping 5-1 rout at Pwllheli.

A brace apiece from Gerwyn Jones and Tom Creamer did the majority of the damage, with Leigh Craven also netting from the penalty spot to keep the Tangerines five points clear of Llangefni Town, who have two games in hand.

Division Two title hopefuls Glan Conwy needed a Shaheen Ahmed strike just before the break to seal a narrow 1-0 success over Llannefydd, which keeps them at the summit and 19 clear of Prestatyn Sports, who have an astonishing eight games more to play than their promotion rivals.

In-form Llanrwst United advanced to the Mawddach Challenge Cup third round with a 2-0 victory over FAW Trophy semi-finalists Greenfield.

Gwyn Jones opened the scoring after an even opening on 41 minutes, and this was swiftly followed by an Elliot Llewelyn strike on 43 to book their place in the next stage.
