IMPROVING Llanberis moved up to third spot in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One standings after a narrow 3-2 win over Trearddur Bay.

The home side had to launch a stunning second half fightback after falling two-behind in the early stages through Dillon Roberts and Brian Connolly, but efforts from Ifan Mansour, Tom Saynor and Gethin Wakeham gave them a thrilling victory.

Llanrug United also kept up their fine recent form with a 3-1 triumph at Pwllheli.

Three goals in the space of 13 second half minutes from Llion Jones, Aaron Jones and Jonathan Sadler was enough to give the visitors their fifth win from ten league contests, but there was no such luck for Barmouth and Dyffryn United, who were downed 2-0 at Llandudno Albion thanks to a David Maddox brace.

Penrhyndeudraeth also came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 success at St Asaph City, with Huw Quaeck and Steven Jones finding the target.

Division Two strugglers Aberffraw eased their relegation worries with a resounding 5-0 win at bottom side Cemaes Bay.

Steve Jones got the away side off to the best possible start with a well-taken strike on eight minutes, before Allan Williams doubled their advantage after a neat passage of play on 37.

After the break saw Nathan Moore hit a brace on 55 and 73 minutes to seal the points, with Gary Bolton putting the exclamation point on a much-needed victory on their travels.
