RHYL FC got back on the goal trail with a resounding 10-0 win over Dyffryn Nantlle in the first round of the North Wales Coast Challenge Cup.

Tom Rowlands starred with four goals, whilst Mike Pritchard bagged a hat-trick and new boys Will Thomas, Adriano Rigoglioso and Paul McManus chipped in to smash the Welsh Alliance League Two side.

Manager Greg Strong said he was delighted with the victory, and was particularly pleased with the performances of fringe squad members who impressed after making six changes to his previous starting line-up.

“Obviously it was another cup game to win, but we took an opportunity to give some of the players who havn’t had a full 90 minutes recently some time. It just showed what a strong squad we have here.”

“It was also an opportunity for some of the new lads to get some experience and to get used to the way we play.”
