TWO goal ace Darren Cassidy steered Rhuddlan Town to their sixth win in six Premier Division starts in a 5-1 romp at Rhos United.
Town went ahead Cassidy’s 20 yard effort, but a back post header on the stroke of half time levelled matters.
A second half onslaught though saw Town through, with Mike Roose slotting in after a great piece of skill on the edge of the area, and Jamie Duffy headed in a third mid-way through the half.
Cassidy fired in another from the penalty spot, and Jamie Hobson converted a Kyle Parry cross to complete the scoring in the final minute.
Second-placed Meliden continue to apply pressure after their 3-1 success at Y Glannau thanks to Jonathan Grimley, Gareth Walsh and Warren Adams.
St Asaph needed second half goals from Adam Cassidy and Duncan Midgely to see off hosts Llansannan 2-0 but Rhyl Athletic saw their lead wrecked as two goals in the last ten minutes left them trailing 3-2 at home to Abergele Dragons.
Richard Pegg and Calvin Ellis edged Rhyl ahead only for James Lloyd and Jake Walker to pounce after Lewis Mahoney's opening strike.
Prestatyn Rovers remain hard on the front-runners' heels with a 2-0 win at Mochdre Sports, Chris Lowe and Shane Thomas netting.
In their Reserve Premier League derby clash Prestatyn Town thrashed Rhyl 6-0, Darren Hughes (2), Ben Hoult, Rhys Lewis, Nathan Smith and Carl Murray on target while Abergele Dragons fell 4-3 at bottom of the-table Aston Park Rangers in the Combination Division 4-3 thriller.
Kinmel Bay Sports came from 2-1 down to topple Greenfield 6-3, Matty Toole (2), Liam Jones, James Hay, Tom Galvin and Ashley Wood all contributing.
