CLWB Bowlio Rhuddlan is again fielding teams in the respective Clwydian Seniors, Vale of Clwyd and Colwyn/Llandudno Leagues during the 2022 season.

Shirley Capper, Mike Elgin and Frank Ainscough have again taken the captaincy helms hoping to build on last season’s successes; in particular, the Colwyn/Llandudno League side, led by Mike, who are now back in Division A of this challenging league.

In the Tuesday afternoon Clwyd Seniors League Section A, Les Capper and Colin Holmes have started well as did Eddie Jones, in his comeback game, while much is expected of Tony Rainford, Barry Phillips Aled Roberts and Gwilym Jones.

In the Wednesday evening Colwyn/Llandudno League, Les Capper, Trevor Jones, Mike Elgin and Aled Roberts have had most success so far, while Caroline Evans has done well to bridge the step up in level of competition.

In the Thursday evening Clwyd League, Iwan Davies has made an impressive return to the green with Barry Phillips also excelling.

As a result of excellent recruitment of new social members by the club, more particularly during last season, a committee decision was taken to re-form the Seniors B team.

Arwel Roberts was designated as the new captain to be assisted by the experienced Ruth Maxwell as vice-captain.

Last week, the new team gained three winners in their Section C away match against Eirias Park, an essential step in its development.

Barbara Evans, a newcomer to the sport, secured an impressive inaugural victory, with Arwel and Ruth following suit.

Clwb Bowlio Rhuddlan welcomes new playing and social members of all ages and abilities to the club.
