A Rhyl pub and eatery was forced to close today after a visit from an unwelcome guest.
Pest control teams have visited JD Wetherspoons restaurant and pub, on Sussex street, leading it to close this morning (Tuesday) after an appearance of a rat this morning.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “ We can confirm that a rodent was spotted in the pub and the manager made aware.
“ We are not sure where it came from and a pest control team has attended the pub.
“They have not spotted any activity.
“The pub is currently closed and is due to open later this afternoon.
“The pest control team will return tomorrow to check the pub.
“We apologise to our customers for this incident.”
