A crowd of more than 40 wellwishers in Rhyl released balloons to commemorate the death of Alfie Evans.
Supporters of the little boy gathered at Rhyl's Botanical Gardens yesterday (Wednesday) at 5pm to carry out the balloon launch.
Sabina Rose Palmer, organiser of the balloon launch, said: "I just felt so emotionally attached to the story, my whole family were so attached.
"We don’t know the family personally, but I just wanted to show the family massive love and show how he has touched our hearts and that the people of Rhyl care too."
Alfie died on Saturday, April 26 aged just 23 months after his life support treatment was withdrawn following a long-running legal battle.
Alfie's parents, Kate James and Thomas Evans, opposed withdrawing life support from the youngster, who had a degenerative brain disease, and wanted to take him abroad for treatment.
As part of the commemoration, well wishers created a heart of candles for Alfie, a prayer and tribute were read by Suzy Palmer and Sabrina's daughter Cadie led a song for Alfie in tribute.
