A PROJECT to help the homeless has been extended to two days a week.
Souper Sunday, based at The Dewi Sant Centre in Rhyl, offers food, drink and a warm place over the weekend. It is now being expanded to open on Saturdays.
Project founder Vickey Eastlick said: “Our service users have been asking for us to extend our hours and we realised that there were no provisions for the homeless on a Saturday anywhere.
“Extending our hours to Saturday has been in the pipes for a while and the weather this week really made it hit home.
“We now have 14 volunteers – I am extremely lucky to have people helping who have the same passion to volunteer.”
