A TOWN is working towards earning a 'plastic free' status.
The Little Cheese Shop and Rejuva Beauty Salon and Clinic in Rhuddlan have signed up with app - Refill Station. This is a free tap water initiative designed to reduce plastic pollution and promote hydration.
Businesses signed up to the app will top up water bottles and will give out free tap water.
Cllr Andy Smith, mayor of Rhuddlan, said: "The Council are very excited about the initiative. We realise becoming totally plastic free will take time, but are keen to start the process.
"We are looking to work closely with our town. Our first directive is to get the message out into the wider community.”
