A SINGER who has been through 'hell and back' spoke about her ordeal on a programme which investigated the dangers of online.

Speaking on Jeremy Kyle's The Kyle Files - which aired on Monday night - Chloe Hopkins, of Prestatyn, explained how a single handshake with a man changed her life.

Chloe was 18 when she became Miss Prestatyn but the chance meeting changed her life forever and she was forced to endure a seven-year stalking nightmare.

Chloe, who is now 25, took to the current affairs programme to promote awareness and is hoping it will help others have a voice.

The former Prestatyn High pupil is next set to work with North Wales Police, to help them understand stalkers and stalking. She has also been warning young people on what to look out for and is writing a book, set to act a survival guide.

Speaking to the Journal, Chloe said: "I was approached to go on the programme. I filmed my part in October last year. I wanted to take that awareness to another level and to give out that message to never stop fighting.

"It was quite surreal watching it and I've had a fantastic response from parents."

Chloe, who staged her comeback concert at Rhyl Pavilion last November, is in talks with the BBC about upcoming projects and is set to perform at this year's Prestatyn Carnival.

Chloe added: "Whatever I have been through, it has been for a reason. I didn't meet or chat to Jeremy Kyle, I was in a studio. It was quite surreal to hear him speaking about my story. I didn't feel it was me.

"Stalking is classified as bullying. I want people to have a voice, to stand up to it and be who you want to be."
