THREE people have been arrested after further drugs warrant were executed in Rhyl.

The warrant was executed by the Denbighshire Coastal Policing Team at an address in Rhyl yesterday (Tuesday) under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

As a result two men from the West Midlands area and a juvenile from the Rhyl area were arrested for drugs offences. They have been released under investigation.

A large quantity of what is believed to be class A drugs, class B, cash, numerous mobile phones and weapons were seized from the location.

Acting district Inspector Sophie Chance said: "This intelligence led warrant was part of the continuing work being undertaken under Operation Scorpion, in response to our communities concerns relating to drug supply and its consequences.

"It is yet another example of where we have listened to concerns and acted upon them.

"Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated in our communities and we will continue to make determined efforts to disrupt this activity.

"We cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing their concerns with us.

"Our goal of targeting those who cause the most harm will continue and in line with the forces’ Operation Scorpion, is directly targeting those involved in serious and organised crime. We are determined to keep our communities safe."
