Businesses will take on commando cross fir style challenges in a battle to claim the inaugural Local Business Fitness Award (LBFA)

The LBFA, which is the brainchild of Commando X-Fit Wales was created to find out who has the fittest workforce within Conwy County Borough.

Whatever sector you are a part of you are able to enter a team and battle it out to claim the Conwy 2018 Local Business Fitness Award.

The event will consist of five disciplines a VO2 max beep test, press ups (against the clock), sit ups (against the clock), hang/pull up test and the infamous inflatable assault course.

Commando X-Fit Wales owner Daniel Harrison said: "On the day, your team will be designated a CXF Instructor who will assist you throughout the event. They will also demonstrate and fully explain each exercise, the required standards expected and the scoring systems.

"During the first four stages of the event each team member will earn points which reflect their performance. Followed shortly after by a final Team Challenge, where the five fastest teams around the assault course will earn additional points.

"Worried that your age is against you? Worry Not! Your age might just earn you a few extra "Brucey Bonus" points.

"Upon completion, awards will be given to the overall winning team, plus to the overall highest point earning individual."

The event will be held on Thursday 1st March at The Barn, Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay, between 8.30am and 5.30pm but teams will only be required to be there for their allocated time slot.

Harrison said the course, if you are in a hurry, should take no longer than 45 minutes to complete.

Registration closes February 28 at 11.59pm with £50 required by each team to enter.

When competing teams are not using the Inflatable Assault Course it will be available to the public throughout the day at a cost of £1 per lap, so be sure to bring along any friends or family.

All funds raised from additional inflatable assault course usage will be donated to St Kentigerns Children's Hospice.

Harrison said: We have received a lot of interest about the event already and I'm sure it will be a hit...and an annual reoccurance.

"St Kentigerns will be there with us on the day to take donations and we will be donating from the additional assault course usage.
