TWO fluffy rabbits have been rescued after being dumped at the side of a road in Abergele.

The animals were found on Rhuddlan Road on Sunday (January 21) by a passer by. The rabbits were discovered abandoned at about 1.10pm. They were left with cabbage leaves, which were coated in faeces, and wet shavings.

RSPCA inspector Andy Broadbent said: "The rabbits were spotted by a passer by and then helpfully captured by staff from the nearby recycling centre.

"It appears that they have been abandoned as they were left with cabbage leaves, which were coated in faeces, and wet shavings. It was as though it had been transported with the rabbits and then left with them.

"We don’t know how long they had been there and what happened, but they are now in our care and are in good health."
