A GROUP of 30 students and staff took part in a 15-mile bike ride to raise money for the Daniel Cleverley Trust.
The ILS (Independent Living Skills) Connect students from Coleg Llandrillo Cymru cycled from the institute in Rhos-on-Sea to Coleg Llandrillo, Rhyl.
The children's charity are continually fund-raising in order to build a community centre, which will be situated in Eirias Park.
Dan's Den was started in 2002 by Hazel Cleverley following the tragic death of her teenage son Daniel during a fire in Eirias Park, and has already been behind youth developments like the skate park in Eirias Park.
The pupils have already raised £2,500 for the trust over the past three years. The mother of Daniel Cleverley, Hazel, waved the cyclists off on their journey, along with the Mayor of Rhyl and the head of Coleg Llandrillo, Rhyl.
The community centre will eventually contain an IT suite, an art area, kitchen, juice bar, stage area, shower block, pool room, chill-out room and a balcony, which will be used to watch the skaters. The facilities will be available for the youths to use during the daytime.
Learning support assistant, Penny Humphreys, said: "It as great to get such positive feedback from the students; they all worked as a team. We would like to thank the local business community for their support."
