THE owners of a Prestatyn tourist attraction are expected to secure permission for a new fun fair ride.
Ffith Leisure Limited have applied for a ZyKlon ride to be sited at Ffrith Beach Festival Gardens.
The ride, previously housed at Marine Lake, Rhyl, and measuring 42.6 metres wide and 11 metres in height, is expected to be given the go-ahead after a report to Denbighshire's planning committee, meeting at Ruthin Town Hall today (Wednesday) recommends granting.
The proposal, which was deffered at a previous meeting held in April, led to a protest petition being launched by nearby residents concerned at the prospect of increased litter levels, parking problems and noise.
The latest report claims the proposal "will not impact significantly on residential amenity or surrounding occupiers".
Noise level limits, currently in place, a ban on the use of amplified music or announcement system accompanying the ride, coupled with operating hour restrictions, 10am and 9pm from Easter to November, "will acceptably safeguard" neighbouring homes.
