A MAN woke to find his caravan on fire.
Firefighters were called to Aberkinsey Farm Caravan Park in Dyserth shortly before 4.30am on Sunday, arriving in time to help the man to safety.
He is believed to have fallen asleep while smoking and woke when the caravan filled with smoke.

an Roberts, of North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, said: “This man was extremely lucky to escape unharmed. Had he not happened to have woken up when he did, we could very easily be dealing with another fire death here in North Wales. This is why having smoke detectors fitted is essential.”
nMeanwhile, a 27-year old man was arrested and released on bail following a suspected arson attack at flats in Rhyl.
The blaze broke out at the three-storey flats on Aquarium Street early on Wednesday, June 18, with five people – including children – having to be evacuated. The mother of the children is understood to have been involved in helping everyone to safety.
Paramedics treated the residents outside the flats but they did not need hospital treatment. The building suffered smoke damage in the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “At 1.35am on Wednesday, June 18, police were alerted to a fire at a house in Aquarium Street. Police, the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, along with the ambulance service, attended.
“Just before 2am the 27-year-old, who is believed to be from the Rhyl area, was arrested in the town on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.”
As part of his bail conditions, the man must return to a police station in July.
