TRIBUTES have been paid to a young man who "will be missed by everyone" after he died in a rail accident.
Chadleigh Blake Jones, 25, of Rhyl, was killed when he was hit by a train close to Prestatyn railway station at around 10.30pm on Friday, August 8, in what has been described as an "unexplained incident.".
A former pupil at Ysgol Mair and Blessed
Edward Jones High School, Chadleigh went on to study electrical installation at Coleg Llandrillo. He later held jobs including with his father's brickblasting and paint spraying business, which saw him work across Britain.
He was a keen festival attender and guitarist and friends will this weekend be wearing tribute T-shirts in Chadleigh's memory at the V Festival in Staffordshire.
His father, Maddock, of Kinmel Bay, said news of Chadleigh's death had been "devastating", with the pair having enjoyed a very close relationship throughout his life.
He said: "He always had a smile and would help anyone. He was so easy to get along with and very popular."
Chadleigh's sister Emma, 27, who lived with Chadleigh and their mother, Heather, at their Victoria Road home, said: "Chadleigh's attitude was to "live for the moment" and he always did that. He always had a big smile on his face. We keep expecting him to come home and it is horrible to think what has happened."
His closest friend, Ryan Lee, 27, said the pair had "lived in each other's pockets" throughout their lives and compared their relationship to that of brothers. He spoke movingly about Chadleigh.
Ryan said: "He was my friend, my dancing partner, soulmate, my shadow and my brother and he's gone but he will definitely not be forgotten."
Jordan Davies, 24, is the son of Maddock's partner, Marie, and had known Chadleigh for 10 years. Speaking on behalf of several close friends, he said: "He had a great sense of humour. He was a laugh to be around and it is a sad loss for all of us."
Family friend and neighbour, Roger Roberts, said: "Chadleigh was a bubbly character. He loved his music and his friends. He was very popular."
Social networking site Facebook is also being used to convey the feelings of his friends as news of his death emerges.
A post from Holley Allen said Chadleigh would never "be forgotten" while Lizzy Wills described him as a "dear friend".
Laura Quirk said "I'll miss u so much" while Richard Jones appeared to sum up the mood of many by saying Chadleigh would "be missed by everyone".
In a similar vein Vinny Jones posted "R.I.P mate, you will be missed".
Andy Manfredi said he "can''t believe" Chad has gone and Tony Caffrey wrote "rest in peace mate, I'll always remember you".
A spokeswoman for Arriva Train Wales said the accident occurred on the 10.07pm service from Llandudno Junction to Chester.
Earlier in the day, Chadleigh had attended the funeral of friend Gareth Ryles, who died in France he had attended Ysgol Mair with as a child.
British Transport Police is currently investigating the incident, which they have described as "unexplained".
Chadleigh's funeral is being held on Monday, August 18 at 10am at St Thomas' Church, Rhyl, which will act as a colourful celebration of his life.
