THE claim made by the leader of Halton's Liberal Democrats in the World is true.

This is no such thing as a safe Labour seat any more.

Halton Council's deputy leader, Rob Polhill, thinks his party is immune to changing political landscape of Britain.

He is wrong. He will perhaps find that out when he is up for re-election?

There are around 400-500 Green voters in Halton View and if Lib Dem voters switch their votes to punish complacent councillors like him that will provide our town with a breath of fresh air in local politics.

Councillor Polhill is one of a number of

councillors whose self-interest is now damaging the town. He is like the John Prescott of Halton.

In return, we get failed pop concerts (Spike Island), failed schemes (the Queen's Hall), a cancelled Halton Show, disgraces like Ditton Road and increasing damage to our environment.

The worst is that council ego trip called the Ditton Rail Freight Park. Ditton voters rejected this scheme in May. Next spring voters will get another chance to tell Labour where to go.

The future in Halton is going to be a lot greener than may Labour councillors make like.
