HUNDREDS of people converged on Rhyl seafront over the Bank Holiday weekend to enjoy the equivalent of a free open-air music festival.
Hot on the heels of Rhyl Airshow, it was the turn of Fun in the Sun 2010 to shine on Saturday and Sunday.
This year boasting a line-up of seasoned musicians Fun in the Sun 2010 attracted thousands of holidaymakers and locals to Rhyl’s Events Arena.
Previously the Bank Holiday event has hosted live performances by Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor stars George Sampson and Diana Vickers but this year saw a slight change in format, with the long list of talent show runners-up being replaced with more established live acts, capable of performing a stronger mix of live music.
Despite the inclement weather which affected the amount of people who turned out and other events throughout the area vying for visitors, people thrilled to performances from The Bay City Rollers, The Acoustic Beatles, T-Rextasy, Jennie Belle, Ricky Cool and the Hoola Bula Band, 80s stars China Crisis and Dr and the Medics and Simon Cowell’s favourite duo Cameleonz.
In addition to great live music there was a fun fair, face painting and circus skills workshops to keep children entertained.
