IDENTICAL twin sisters celebrated a double dose of success on A-level results day.
Talented Laura and Lisa Hughes from Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno, arrived to pick up their results together. The 18-year-olds enjoyed success in all subjects. Laura achieved an A* in Geography and two A grades in Chemistry and Biology.
Lisa scooped an A* in Geography, an A in history and an A in Physical Education.
It was the second time the gifted duo had celebrated double success. The twin sisters recently passed their driving test on the same day.
A spokeswoman for the school praised sixth formers for their achievements. She said: “We are extremely pleased with the results at Ysgol John Bright this year. Early indications show they are already higher than last years.”
Teenager Joshua Au Yeung achieved an A* in Maths and 3 A’s in Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The exceptional student will study Medicine at Newcastle.
Joide Mills, 18, gained an A* in Economics, History and RE and an A in Maths. Jodie will go on to study Law at Nottingham University.
Sarah Scullion, 18, achieved A* English Language, an A in History and RE and a B in Critical Thinking. She will study Law in Leeds University.
