FOUR wins out of five made it a decent week on the greens for Denbigh Bowling Club.

The solitary loss came in the Senior Citizens’ League as Denbigh A lost their derby with Trefnant 11-1.

Emrys Roberts was the town team’s only winner.

However, Denbigh B were in winning form in the league courtesy of a big 11-1 scoreline at Rhyl.

Turning to the Vale of Clwyd League and the second derby of the week went Denbigh A’s way with their 9-5 home with over Trefnant.

There were two weekend wins for Denbigh to celebrate in the North Wales Coast League, led by the A team’s comfortable 12-2 scoreline at home to Llanfair PG.

Denbigh B went to Rhyl and returned having safely secured a 9-5 margin of victory.

Cup finals will be a feature over the coming weekend for Denbigh’s Saturday A team.

This Sunday will see Denbigh tackle Colwyn Bay Royal British Legion in the final of the Binns Cup, which will be played at Rhos on Sea Bowling Club.

This is Denbigh’s first appearance in the final since 2001, when they lifted the cup with victory over Min y Don.

In addition, Denbigh A are in the final of the Coast Cup on Friday, with Abergele their opponents at Dyserth Bowling Club.
