Rhuddlan Town 3 Tranmere Rovers 6

AS expected the extra fitness and quality of the full time Rovers team eventually told in what was an entertaining game at Pengwern College last night.

It looked like a real shock could be on the cards when Town raced into a two goal lead within fifteen minutes through Martin Halewood and Kyle Parry.

The team also missed out on a great a chance to make it three.

However once the Tranmere team settled, they created some great moves and excellent football and through two free kicks and a corner, went in at half time with three goals to their credit.

It was always going to be difficult to hang on to a Tranmere team which included four first team squad players but after scoring another goal by way of a a penalty, Town to their credit pulled back another goal to make the scoreline 4-3.

Rhuddlan also had a chance cleared off the line before eventually conceding two late goals to the young full-timers.
