CRIME and mystery will combine when the Rialto Film Club present this month’s thrilling offer The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Titled Män Som Hattar Kvinnor in its native Swedish, director Niels Arden Oplev brings the bestselling novels by Stieg Larrson to life in this widely celebrated adaptation which shows at Theatr Colwyn on Sunday, August 8.
In 1966, teenager Harriet Vanger vanished from a family gathering on the island owned by her family.
Almost 40 years later, disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomqvist (Michael Nyqvist) is asked by Harriet's uncle Henrik Vanger (Sven-Bertil Taube) who wants him to write the history of the Vanger family and find out what happened to Harriet, who was his favourite niece.
Teaming up with the troubled and mysterious computer hacker Lisbeth (Noomi Rapace), the duo set out to solve the mystery which has torn a family apart.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo willbe showing at Theatr Colwyn on August 8 at 7:30pm. Following the screening, a raffle in aid of Theatr Colwyn will be drawn. The raffle features a host of top prizes ranging from beauty treatments to the use of a Mini for the weekend.
