PRESTATYN Town will embark on arguably the biggest match in their 100-year history this Sunday when they take on Bangor City in the semi-finals of the Welsh Cup at Newtown (1.15pm).
Town have already got further than they have ever previously managed in Wales' premier knockout competition, but to reach the final would be a fantastic achievement for the Denbighshire club.
To do so they must defeat the holders Bangor, who have lifted the cup for the past two seasons.
Midfielder Michael Parker is a doubtful starter at Latham Park due to a hamstring injury, but otherwise the Seasiders should have a full squad available.
Prestatyn gave themselves the perfect pre-Welsh Cup tonic last Friday when they claimed their first win in nine Welsh Premier starts, a 4-2 success at Bala Town lifting them up to seventh and going a long way towards securing them Super 12 status next season.
Town drew first blood on 12 minutes when player-manager Neil Gibson reacted quickest to a mix up in the Lakesiders' defence and steered the ball calmly beyond keeper Matthew Boswell.
Danny Williams levelled for Bala just four minutes later then the Seasiders were back in front on 34 minutes when Steve Rogers was felled in the penalty area and Andy Moran fired in the spot-kick confidently.
Bala's pivotal midfielder Ricky Evans made it 2-2 before the break, but the second half saw Rogers come to the fore for the visitors.
The ex-Welshpool striker edged Town ahead with a superb angle drive on 56 minutes, then sealed the points with a great solo effort late on, Jon Hill-Dunt producing some fantastic saves to deny Bala in-between.
