A PERFORMANCE by an acclaimed male voice choir and a parade of children dressed in national costume symbolised St David’s Day 2010.

Schools and playgroups across the area once again led the celebrations.
Members of Trelawnydd Male Voice Choir entertained children from Ysgol Tir Morfa on Monday, while pupils from Ysgol y Llys marched along Prestatyn High Street.

Meanwhile toddlers from Cylch Meithrin Playgroup, Rhuddlan, dressed in traditional Welsh dress for a special storytime at the town’s library.

Pupils from St Elfods School, Abergele celebrated St David's Day with traditional Welsh food including Welsh beef cawl, bara brith and Welsh cakes as well as dressing in traditional clothes.
