PRESTATYN TOWN 1 CAERSWS 0
HAVING already bettered their points total of last season with 13 games to spare, sixth-placed Prestatyn will be going for a fourth successive win this Saturday when they welcome Carmarthen Town to Bastion Gardens.
The Seasiders will also aim for a double over the Old Gold after winning 2-1 at Richmond Park earlier in the campaign.
Meanwhile, Prestatyn needed a 78th minute penalty from Andy Moran to finally kill off stubborn bottom side Caersws on Saturday.
In misty conditions, Seasiders striker Steve Rogers missed two good early chances and the hosts almost paid on 11 minutes when Chris Melia's blockbuster brought a cracking save out of home keeper Jon Hill-Dunt.
Rogers was presented with another opening from a Russ Jones cross but could only head straight at the keeper.
The second half was becoming tedious before on 67 minutes player-manager Neil Gibson's left footer rattled the post, then from the rebound Moran and Ian Griffiths had shots blocked on the line before Michael Parker hit the other upright.
Prestatyn's Dave Hayes saw his looping header cleared off the line before finally the breakthrough came when substitute Jon Fisher-Cooke was clipped by Caersws keeper David Jones and a penalty was given which Moran's dispatched.
Caersws' misery was complete when Geraint Lewis was sent off for a second caution after a challenge on Gibson.
