CAERSWS’ exit from the Welsh Cup at the hands of Bala leaves them to concentrate on league matters and they travel to Prestatyn (Saturday 2.30pm) this weekend for what promises to be a tough encounter.

Prestatyn are currently seventh in the Welsh Premier and have lost only twice at home all season, and only then to high flying Rhyl and TNS.

Caersws will be without both Lee Jenkins, who is suffering from a groin injury picked up in the 2-0 loss at Bala, and Matthew Hulse who is serving a one match suspension.

Evans said: “It’s going to be a hard game. They’re going well at home and it’s a difficult place to go for anyone, so it’s another difficult game for us.

“We’ll miss the two lads, they’ve got good experience and it makes it harder but we’ve just got to get on with it.”

However, despite the tough task ahead Evans is confident his side can build on an improved second half display against Bala.

He said: “There was nothing wrong with our second half performance. Had their goalkeeper not made three top class saves you never know, we could’ve got something out of it.

“We kept going and we were the better side in the second half, particularly the last 20 minutes when we were trying to get something. I was proud of them, they battled and we just need to keep going.”
