RHYL 7 PONTARDAWE TOWN 0
SATURDAY'S 7-0 thrashing of Pontardawe in the Welsh Cup has given Rhyl a timely confidence boost ahead of this Sunday's visit to Bangor City.

The Lilywhites will travel to Farrar Road for a Welsh Premier League battle aiming to complete a double over their arch rivals whom they hammered 5-1 at Belle Vue last September.

And Greg Strong's side are certainly in fine goalscoring form if their weekend demolition of Welsh League opposition is anything to go by.

John Leah netted three times and there was a brace for substitute Mark Connolly. Goals from Rob Turner and Tyrone Kirk completed the rout.
