RHYL survived the first-half dismissal of Chris Williams to record their second successive Welsh Premier League win last night.

The Lilywhites were forced to come from behind to claim the victory, after Ryan Edwards scored a penalty midway through the first half following a foul on former Rhyl forward Marc Lloyd Williams.

Rhyl’s problems were compounded with the loss of winger Tyrone Kirk through injury and the dismissal of his substitute Chris Williams following an incident with former Chester City youngster Gio Feliciello.

But the red card seemed to galvanise the home side, with Matty Williams equalising from the spot before the break after being fouled in the area by his namesake Ashley.

Airbus kept Rhyl goalkeeper Jack Cudworth busy, but it was to be Rhyl who claimed the points when Rob Turner struck with 12 minutes remaining. The recent signing capitalised on an excellent ball from John Leah to fire home the winner.
